The "Mariner" dates from the mid-70s and I believe the 1310 was Omega's first in-house quartz movement (it was originally called the Megaquartz 32). This watch was famously attached to the masts of a couple of yachts in a trans-Atlantic race in 1976 (Ostar) with both surviving the voyage intact. Like a lot of models that used the then-new technology of the 70s, this watch was pricier than many mechanical Omegas - about 70% more expensive than a Moonwatch, for example.
